Typical newspaper cuttings on the Night Parrot in South Australia during the 1930s, a period of increased interest: (a) appeared in the Advertiser and Register 27 April 1931, p. 8, and questioned whether the parrot was extinct; (b) gave a detailed account by Neil McGilp of John McDonald’s credible observations at Macumba Station, appeared in the Advertiser and Register 25 July 1931, p. 5; and elicited (c) an interesting response from Hurtle Lewis on 8 August 1931, p. 18.
