Summary:
One of many small mammals at risk each night of predation by cats and foxes: the Common Planigale (Planigale maculata). The estimated size of the Australian feral cat population is several million. If each cat is consuming individuals of several native species per night then many million native animals are being lost each week to cats alone. Source: Steve Wilson.
