Summary:
Mulgaras (Dasycercus spp.) are avid diggers. They live in burrows that they excavate in and around sand dunes. Most burrows have multiple entrances or pop-holes that the occupants can emerge from or duck into as need arises. They are not strictly nocturnal and sometimes sunbathe near burrow entrances.
