Summary:
Breech. Rear end first. This is an impossible birth position. Without help the doe and kid will die. Rear legs must be brought forward to allow the kid to be born hind legs first. Between contractions, bring each leg forward one at a time. Cup fingers around each hoof to protect the uterine wall. If the uterine wall is ruptured, the doe may haemorrhage to death. Closing your eyes while working will help you to visualise the kid’s position better. Work slowly and carefully. If you are not confident call the vet.
