Summary: 
Decline of Tasmanian devils from DFTD is leading to an increase in invasive predator and prey species: feral cats (Felis catus) and black rats (Rattus rattus). Results are from multi-year wildlife spotlighting surveys (top panel) and hair traps (lower panel). Both surveys were conducted across the east to west regions of Tasmania with disease outbreak times ranging from long-term disease (10–14 years; eastern), to medium-term disease (three to seven years; central) and disease-free (west coast).
