Summary:
The popular tropical American Graviola or Soursop (Annona muricata), true to its name, has an attractive sour flavour. It contains around 11% sugar and is rich in B and C Vitamins, the latter making it a useful remedy for scurvy. The fruit quality can vary substantially with some varieties having a fibrous character that limit their value for the fresh fruit market, making them more suitable for use in ice-cream and jellies.
