Summary:
Peperomia pellucida in rainforest vine. This small herb is naturalised along the Queensland coastline (Brisbane to Cape York), extending to the Northern Territory and the Kimberley region of Western Australia. It is widespread throughout the tropics and subtropics of the world, including Central and South America, South-east Asia and Africa. The nutritional benefits of this humble plant are linked to its mineral components (notably potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium and iron) and good protein levels [225; 231].
