Summary:
Cycas media. There are certain rainforest beetles (Boganiidae, subfamily Paracucujinae) that are restricted to the Cycadaceae and are reliant on cycad pollen as food throughout their lifecycle. In addition, native Trigona bees (the oldest surviving bee lineage) pollinate Cycas media. These bees have been found in fossil records from the Cretaceous Period, which precedes the origin of flowering plants [93].
