Summary:
Ryparosa is a South-east Asian–Melanesian genus that contains a total of 18 species. Ryparosa kurrangii (formerly Ryparosa sp. Daintree) was once classified as the Javan Ash (R. javanica), which was thought to be fairly widespread from Asia to Australia. These plants were subsequently reclassified as nine different species and the Javan Ash is now considered restricted to a Sumatra, Java and Bali [150].
