Summary:
This photo was taken when I tip-toed around the tree to get a better angle, trying not to alert the bird to my doings. But then I looked up: the tawny frogmouth followed my every move peering around the trunk of the tree. When I walked around the tree, it peered from the tree in the other direction. They are very curious birds and I suspect do not miss much of what goes on around them.
