Summary:
Adult male feeding a one-day-old chick. These are rare photos showing the first feed by the hatchling. The poor quality derives from the fact that it was almost completely dark and no flash was used in order not to disturb the birds. The eyes of the male are heavily converged to focus on the hatchling. The hatchling has its back to the camera.
