Summary:
Close up bathymetric image showing the shelf edge region in the northern GBR Cape York region. Here the complex morphology of Halimeda bioherms can be observed grading from reticulate to donut shaped forms from east to west. Palaeo-channels can also be observed crossing the shelf and the bioherms and exiting through the incised inter-reef passages between the Ribbon Reefs (Source: From McNeil et al. 2016).
