Species of frogs occurring in the arid and semi-arid regions of Australia, separated into ‘true’ ASA species (those that occur solely or predominantly in the arid and semi-arid zones) and ‘overlapping’ species (those with at least 20% of their distributions in the semi-arid zone).Distributions were calculated using a dataset of verified location records (Slatyer et al. 2007, updated as per Anstis 2013, Ocock 2013, and Rosauer et al. 2014). Species listed as threatened at the State or federal level denoted by *. Species whose distribution was evenly spread across arid, semi-arid, and temperate or monsoonal bioregions denoted by †.
