Table 5.1. Number of fires, area burnt, maximum fire size, mean (±s.e.m.) fire size and the total percentage area burnt across northern Australian tropical savannas from 2000 to 2019The periods of 2000–2009 and 2010–2019 are summarised (± standard error) and the difference between the periods are calculated at the bottom as these time periods roughly mark the transition between wildfire driven fire regimes and the use of ‘right way fire’.
