Summary: 
Dry vine thicket on basalt, Mua island, Torres Strait. Vine thickets occur on all of the islands in the Torres Strait whether on granite or basalt, and occasionally on the calcareous sands along the strandline. The land snails of the islands are mainly found in these isolated monsoonal vegetation communities. Large camaenids of the Hadra group are common.
