Summary:
Distribution models for (a) the Western Quoll (Dasyurus geoffroii) and (b) Red-tailed Phascogale (Phascogale calura) created using records after 1950. Black dots show all known localities from this period, green shading shows ‘core’ areas where the species were predicted to occur, and red shading shows areas where their occurrence was likely to be ‘marginal’. Both species had pan-continental distributions, but are confined now to the south-west of Western Australia.
