Summary:
Podocarpus elatus (fruit pictured) is the most widespread of its genus in Australia and has been known by a great diversity of common names: Plum Pine, White Plum, Pencil Cedar, Illawarra Plum; and the White, Brown, Yellow or She Pine. The tree is found along the coastline and hinterland areas from New South Wales to Cape York, albeit fairly rare in northern Queensland. There is also an outlying population in the Northern Territory. (Image courtesy Peter Woodard)
