Summary:
Distribution of all frogmouth species and their allies (shaded areas). The black line indicates the equator; the dotted line is the Wallace line and shows the separation of Australian/Papuan frogmouths (Podargus) and Asian frogmouths (Batrachostomus). At its narrowest point (between the islands of Bali to the west and Lombok to the east) there are only 25 km. The distribution of the Solomon frogmouth (Solomon Islands east of Papua New Guinea) is shown by shading the specific islands. Not shown are the frogmouths of central and northern South America.
