Summary:
Ignition time as a function of the density of the fuel. All other variables are held constant (k = 1.4 × 10−4 kW m−1 °C−1, cs = 1.255 kJ kg−1 °C−1, Tig = 350 °C, To = 30 °C, d = 1 mm, (q˙″s) = 30 kW m−2). The trend is shown for both the thermally thick and thermally thin assumptions as calculated from Eqns [5.1] and [5.2].
